Over 150 text format “dreams” were submitted and then reformatted into a more objective dream poem that features throughout the film. Following the structure of brain frequencies during sleep, in collaborating with Jimmy Sheals, we worked very closely on both music and footage to follow this narrative of vulnerability and the changes which occur during the sleep cycle. Mimicking mainstream media cliches and advertising ploys, the film guides you on a structural journey, away from focus on context and image and into an emotionally manipulated limbo of montage and confusion.Ultimately, we are forced to explore this uninhabited space, dreams are regurgitated into an advert of immaterial value, and we are left to question the true authenticity of subjective experience.
