Layers Festival

  • Reece Maudlin

The layers festival, is focused on utilising every park space across the UK to bring a fresh idea. Making a common space, home to four different cultural backgrounds. A festival day consists of food, sports, games, music and design. All of these elements come together, to entertain the audience. The main reason for hosting these select activities is to engage the children to work together, play together and learn about each other. The result is that all children and their parents will learn indirectly about the other three countries, through these methods of activity. Eat, Play, Listen, Create is the brand motto. As well as this, the focus is on exploring and uncovering, revealing what’s beneath the surface. The work below, is designed as part of a case study for one festival hosted in the town of Nuneaton. Producing outcomes which represent the brand as a unifier for each different event, this is an example of how it comes together.
