Leftovers

Problem: The sad truth is that a bunch of food ends in trash. People waste around a 1/3 of all food made for consumption, that’s 1.3 billion tonnes of food each year, yet in 2019 over 135 million people lived in severe hunger. It’s estimated that 61% of all food wasted is by consumers. Insight: As we (Millennials) appreciate everything stylish, we love instagramable food - we know how to worship avocados, lattes and overpriced burgers. "Camera eats first" is the global phenomenon of people taking photos of meals with smartphone cameras before they eat, mostly followed by uploading the photos to social media. Solution: So to stop waste so much perfectly eatable food, we want to create LEFTOVERS. An online platform that helps you share your uneaten food with people nearby.
