'Leontion' Graduate Collection

Design inspiration for this collection is informed by the close connection with the sea and the human body. The designer creates a philosophical interpretation of the life near water by exploring natural elements and sensory memory. The feminine body exploration through time informs the collection by mapping ancient Greek sculptures and the female representation in ancient times. Bondage and fetish elements are deployed to tone the close relationship with the body and how it is being treated emotionally.

The study of different body shapes and size adjusting techniques led to the development of a range of leather products that are size adjustable and make the wearer feel intimate and confident with their body. That was achieved by combing contouring and creative pattern cutting. As well as inventing a unique grading technique that offers a wider range of sizes combined with size adjusting mechanism using rope. The range includes body pieces such as harnesses and molded pieces, a rucksack and a handbag.
