The idea to start this project came to me one day while having a coffee with a friend, of course.
It wasn't the first time when I was inviting friends to be my models for a make-up and photo session, but I felt that I wanted to have a sense of flow, to add an element that would bond together every photo shoot, to make it a whole.
Each and every one of my friends is unique. They all have different styles, interests and personalities, not mentioning their facial characteristics which are so individual and personal. How could I include something to connect all of them, besides the obvious - my camera? That's when I realized that it was right in front of me all this time - having a coffee with a friend and a great talk to accompany it, was the common ground I was looking for.
So I simply started by asking them: let's have coffee.
After that, I just let the sessions to flow on naturally - either by staying indoors or at a local coffee shop, or just walk around the streets and parks of Cluj-Napoca.
