This project is about raising awareness to help end Female Genital Mutilation and it emphasizes greatly on making a change and taking action on the issue. Educating young pupils (9-12) about the harmful effects of FGM happening to children their age seems like a very important step for this awareness campaign. The aim and objective for this project is to design for change through thoughtful planning by sending a message, getting attention and getting the target audience talking about the issues of FGM. Despite the sensitive nature of the topic, another aim is to also force a change to implement the solution of FGM, and give a way to engage, act and inspire young children.

I created an interactive FGM education eBook as a guideline for children, to learn about the risks and dangers of the practice towards girls and women around the world. There are also posters to help promote the eBook and get the word out. This ebook is developed to tackle the difficult and sensitive topic of Female Genital Mutilation anywhere. It focuses on a number of important issues regarding FGM to which children can choose to act on in or out of school.
