I reached out to shoot for LF Markey because frankly I was obsessed with her vision. Louise has created a signature no-nonsense clothing aesthetic of simple, geometric shapes and bold colours, inspired by workwear and utility clothing for practical women. For our shoot I wanted to create beautiful images celebratory of these bold shapes and colours, but also images that could be playful and honest to the female form that complete the shape in the clothes. We didn’t want to use professional models, we wanted to create visual communication that speaks from a place of honesty. This body of work featured in the Creative Review Photography Annual 2017, an annual print celebration of the best photography from the year.
