Lil Peep Will Be An Icon

During the last semester of my apprenticeship I had the opportunity to make a monothematic newspaper about a theme of my choice. I decided to make my newspaper about a young mostly unknown artist at that time. Lil Peep is an US-American rapper, model and artist, who got known for his unique diy-style in every aspect of his art. My goal was to transport this authentic feeling into the newspaper through putting together illustrations of his tattoos, pictures of him and quotes from his music. To bring it all together I hand lettered the whole newspaper word for word. Lil Peep unexpectedly died while I was working on the newspaper at the young age of 21 years. The last two pages adress this tragic loss.
