Linocut illustrations for poem book

  • Natalia Glaz

Self-initiated project inspired by work of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska – a prolific Polish poet known as the Polish Sappho and queen of lyrical poetry during Poland's interwar period. Linocut is a traditional graphic technique, included in the relief print. This means that the graphic print is created thanks to the use of a matrix, the convex elements of which are covered with paint and, by strong pressure, reflected on a sheet of paper or on another suitable base.
