'Live' - Cartel B.A.E Ft. CecilioG

I was approached by BE83 Music Group to provide a single cover for British based rapper Cartel B.A.E Ft. Spanish based rapper Cecilio G. These two artists have a combined total of over 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, so I had to get this spot on. Being asked to incorporate images of the two artists was difficult to begin with as I had to work with individual photographs of the artists, rather than them both being together in one. However, with this challenge I reaped the benefits as I had to think outside the box. After some time, editing and creating I came up with an idea. I decided to create collage artwork, adding bits personal to the artists such as the Spanish flag over Cecilio G and the Birmingham skyline under Cartel B.A.E. As well as palm trees representing Spain as the video shoot was set in Spain, I also added broken glass and graffiti styled images of the artists to the cover as it was filmed on the streets adding an edge element complimenting the city in the video shoot. This was a fun project to work on as collage artwork is one of my favourite ways to design. It was also great to communicate with everyone involved on the project, hearing ideas and planning.
