Living La Vida Lockdown - The Femme Collection

  • Original Magazine

On the last Friday night of lockdown, Sick Love are bringing the party we are all sourly missing to people’s living rooms, all in aid of Clacton food bank in Jaywick (voted the UK’s most deprived area for 3 years in a row) before the tough winter ahead. Sick Love Zine is a multimedia platform celebrating young creatives and their work. Their aim is to start an honest conversation about the issues that affect young creatives whilst promoting their work. Their latest project is a little different from their usual zines and workshops, but we’re not complaining. With a fabulous line up – featuring Eliza Legzdina, July Jones, Lagoon Femshayma , Mynxie and Suzi Wu - and a good deed at heart, we are ready to get our party on for a good cause. Sick Love want this to be as real of a party as people’s living rooms will permit, and have encouraged guests to turn on their cameras, socialise, drink and dance all from the comfort of their own homes! This will also provide some atmosphere for online performers and hopefully allow some carefree fun in troubling times. It hasn’t been an easy year, and ‘Living La Vida Lockdown’ (haha) provides a great way for us all to come together and have a fun time this lockdown whilst supporting the country's most vulnerable. Tickets are £2.50 minimum with higher tiers of payment available for those who wish to donate more as all proceeds are donated. We hope to see some of you there!
