Lloyds Banking Group Feel Good Fest

  • Experience (Profile)

The pandemic was a tough time for students – with over 50% of students saying their mental health had declined and they were suffering from loneliness since the pandemic began (NUS). To attempt to alleviate this issue, Lloyds Banking Group asked us to create a virtual space that would promote a healthy, positive mindset and provide mental health and escapism for students. The festival also saw a continuation of our relationship with Lloyds Banking Group, as we were trusted with an open-ended brief that required us to think differently and pushed us to craft a totally new type of virtual experience. We worked with Lloyds Banking Group to create the very first Feel Good Festival – an online experience for students to connect, engage and find a form of happiness after a difficult year. Complete with positive messages from colleagues, gamification and student-led entertainment, this escapism was especially important for students, who had their education, routine and social life disrupted by Covid-19. The Feel Good Festival became an exciting virtual experience that celebrated what students can do, even during lockdown. Each zone of the Feel Good Festival mirrored that of a real festival, including a Main Stage where we headlined daily student submissions. By using vibrant animation and gamified, interactive activities, we encouraged students to engage with the festival. Each of the six zones we created were uniquely styled, with everything from easy-to-follow cooking recipes to breathing exercise and pre-recorded performances. The festival was a vibrant, exciting space and a huge success!
