A few years back I was researching circular designs for some of my jewellery pieces and ended up looking at antique buttons. I wasn't looking for letters but came across the F button shown below and was so taken with it that I knew I would use it as a logo somewhere down the line. There were 3 in total, antiques, brass, made in England... except that I had to have them shipped over from Canada - London, Ontario to be exact - Wortley Village, London Ontario to be more exact - the very neighbourhood that I had recently moved to England from! ... the neighbourhood of my past before embarking on all my other lives in Vancouver and Paris and Toronto etc... Clearly it was meant for this silk scarf project. I tried to be faithful to the wear and tear while creating the Illustrator vector file. A two centimetre version of the logo is also placed discreetly into the textile design of each scarf.
