For this project, I aim to explore the use of sexual
innuendos in Fashion and Beauty advertising and
research how objects can stimulate viewers’ sexual perceptions. My commitment for this project is to act as an art director, who will take responsibility for communication design for fashion and beauty advertising by using innuendos to bring out sexual contexts. As advertising normally communicates visually, I intend to take it to the next level by bringing visual imagery of the ads into sensory imagery because I aim to present a new aspect of advertisement consumption to the audience, under
the banner of ‘advertising becomes tactile’.
The possible outcome will appear in the form of
sensory installation that simulates the relationship
between our sex life experiences and advertising. The
objective of this work is to portray the hidden messages
from fashion and beauty advertising and how we
percieve sexual contexts from innuendos.
