Macallan in Lalique 72 Years Old

Presentation case for what was the oldest whisky The Macallan had ever released at the time, to celebrate the launch of their new distillery. An edition of 600 Lalique crystal decanters presented in a case crafted from wood, linen, solid brass and pure suede, each case is assembled, polished and finished entirely by hand, using natural variations in the grain patterns of the timber to ensure every box is unique. Each case also contains a book documenting the project.   Inspired by the interior of the distillery, with a curved wooden roof over the decanter, and a footprint taken directly from the circular layout of our three new still sets. Throughout the distillery, a complex design is made elegant by the simplicity of a repeated form: a circle within a square.
