Made in Chinatown - Logo & Branding

  • Annessa Chan

Made in Chinatown creates unique and beautiful products telling the stories of hidden heritage in London's Chinatown. The logo was developed in collaboration with a team of volunteers and the design was finalised and digitised by me.

This logo design was inspired by various concepts and ideas sent in by the Made in Chinatown volunteer group which I was also a part of. I was tasked with incorporating various key design elements representative of London's Chinatown, in particular gingko leaves, as chosen by the board of directors of China Exchange.
The logo is currently being used on product labels as well as the Made in Chinatown shop's Etsy page.
I provided the client with several colourways and variations for the logo design to be used on different coloured backgrounds. All colours were inspired by the London Chinatown gates.
I was also tasked with coming up with product label designs. Above is an example of one of Made in Chinatown's products along with the belly band designed by me.
