Made with Feelings

Releasing negative feelings through bread making.

Challenging the role of the classroom. What do you teach? How do you teach? ‘Made with feelings’ is a workshop designed to not only teach bread making but also create a platform to let out negative feelings. Participants are given small parcels with ready to knead dough. The key idea is that the participant would knead with a specific emotion in mind until the dough changes colour fully.
The dough is designed specifically to cater for the emotions of fear, joy and anger. These emotions were represented with the colours of green, yellow and red. I used natural dyes to colour the dough such as matcha, turmeric and paprika. Overall the workshop aims to reduce internalised stress through an enjoyable and rewarding activity.
