Marriage Certificate

This project creates a response on how we view relationships, marriage and being single. The concept behind creating a Marriage Certificate was born when I realised that expressing one’s true desires (of polygamy and other non-traditional relations) is something that society cannot often accept. The taboo of being with more than one person is gradually being unpacked due to more and more people pushing the boundaries of exploring non-traditional relationships. The Marriage Certificate aims to create a discussion about non-traditional relationships and their future. The Certificate allows people to marry as many people as they would like. Creating a lot of sections gives a sense of freedom and choice. I have created hands symbol to represent many people being together.
