MEAT ON BONES is a 12-minute realist film set on the cliffs surrounding the beautiful coastal area of The Gower in Wales. Dai Pritchard, a middle-aged alcoholic who has isolated himself from society in a caravan on the edge of a cliff is accustomed to a life of desolation. However, when Gwyn Thomas, a naïve and inexperienced council administrative assistant arrives at Dai’s door to evict him – Dai reacts the only way he knows how, with violence. He takes Gwyn hostage, only when things go wrong Dai must take Gwyn across the wild landscape that he’s so familiar with. They embark upon a journey, spending a night together in the remains of an old castle. During this process, two entirely different people begin to understand one another, defining each other and eventually overcoming their difficulties.
