Memento Mori /Agliophobia 2017 lookbook

The Memento Mori /Agliophobia ready-to-wear collection comprises two layers, Memento Mori and Agliophobia, and was inspired by a previous artistic collection. The first layer reflects our most intimate thoughts and feelings – the things we carry deep within. The second layer symbolises the daily armour we wear. They represent both the physical things and the behaviours we adorn our selves with; things that communicate feelings and desires, provide strength and protection, or create façades of distracting lies.

This ready-to-wear collection is designed to be 'mortal', meaning that once a garment eventually reaches the end of its life cycle, it is easy to take apart and dispose of with minimal harm to the environment. All fabrics used in the collection are made from 100% natural fibres and are either organic or otherwise consciously produced and free from toxic chemicals. The fabrics have been carefully chosen so to create clothes that feel good against the skin. The whole collection has been consciously designed and produced with careful consideration of quality and sustainability in even the smallest details, such as buttons and thread.
