Mid-America College Art Association Detroit 2012 Conference

To co-coordinate the Mid-America College Art Association (MACAA) Detroit: 2012 Conference. Productively worked across university departments liaising with local and national peer organisations, vendors, and the public creating a successful event that welcomed over 400 attendees.
Co-coordinated 11 Sessions, 3 keynote speakers, workshops, an art crawl, alumni art exhibition, and special receptions.
Managed the solicitation of corporate and peer organisation sponsorships and partnerships.
Prepared conference budget and negotiated contracts with suppliers and partners in compliance with university policy.
Facilitated and coordinated the creation of conference marketing plan including website development, print materials, and social media.

Since the 1930s, the Mid-America College Art Association has provided a forum for the artist/teachers of America to discuss and debate the issues of our profession, to share ideas and information of mutual benefit and to affirm the friendships and collegiality that bind us together.

As the conference was a singular event the official 2012 Detroit conference website has now been archived.
