Our second commission for MidCentury magazine is based around a quote by celebrated American designer, Charles Eames.
A deceptively simple play on words, the design was inspired by the colours, shapes and playfulness of Eames’ work: the energy of the dots contrasting the more serious structure of the typographic grid below.
The print has been designed to feel distinctly Eames, while being a companion piece to the first Le Corbusier inspired limited edition.
Hand type set in 48pt Monotype Scotch Roman, 12-line wood type dot ornaments, and 12pt Stephenson, Blake & Co. Grotesque No.9 and 10pt & 12pt Condensed Sans Serif No. 7.
Printed in four colours on Fedrigoni Materica Gesso in a limited edition of 100.
