Miller Art Museum - Salon of High School Art (2020)

The Salon of Door County High School Art, now in its 46th year, is an integral part of the Miller Art Museum’s exhibition program, having been hosted since the museum’s inception. This year's exhibition is presented in a virtual gallery, making it accessible (and possible) in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The exhibition features artwork from 4 different high schools in Wisconsin, USA. It also includes a separate room with an exhibition of artwrk by the museum's founder Gerhard Miller.

The art space at the Miller Museum have been lovingly recreated in 3D. By using architectural drawings and photographs, Curat10n were able to create a detailed model of the building and to recreate this to scale.
The exhibition selection comes from a collaboration between several schools and studnet groups. It features about more than 200 individual artworks, from 100 artists. This includes painting, illustration & photography.
Parquet flooring, wood panneling and chandelier lighting help to recreate the style and atmosphere of the museum. This includes a few neat little touches like furniture and an interactive piano, which can provide a musical soundtrack while visitors explore the exhibition.
