The still lifes of Claesz, Coorte and Van de Velde re ect the frozen world of the past with its sophisticated esthetics, that exhibited even in repast. People hadn’t yet lost the time for creating the dishes and table setting, while the meal turned to be a certain ritual. But the world has sped up a lot since then. Pace of life gets rush, people’s habits and lifestyle has changed. Fast food has become an integral attribute of civilization.
We’ve got inspired by the artists of 17th century and created new age still lifes. Carve crystal glasses and porcelain plates are replaced by disposable tableware. No more gourmet dishes – a man chooses his favorite hamburger on a plastic platter.
