Monstress

My animations playfully highlight taboos revolving around sexuality and gender equality, featuring raw narratives drawn from my own experiences as a female. The videos are fuelled by a dark irony and an element of horror, in which the monstrous female emerges laughing. The characters and sets used in the animations remain in an imperfect and impermanent state due to my use of versatile low-fi materials; this reflects and underlines the abject content of the videos.
