MTVu

mtvU is MTV’s 24-hour Peabody and Emmy Award winning college network, broadcasting to more than 750 college campuses and nearly 9 million students nationwide. It’s the most comprehensive network just for college students, reaching 90 percent of students on the largest campuses in the country. mtvU features original content that shines a spotlight on blazingly talented college students and celebrates their biggest moments throughout the year, as well as music from a mix of emerging artists that can’t be found anywhere else.
The network is home to acclaimed programming, including the mtvU Woodie Awards, Spring Break, Stand In, Quinnterviews, Campus Dispatch, Hire Learning and Pop Quiz. College students are engines for social change and mtvU is always partnering with student activists and change makers to amplify their voice and help them expand their reach. In September 2011, the network launched the mtvU Against Our Will Campaign, which taps into the growing student movement to end modern-day slavery. Other mtvU Public Affairs campaigns include the Peabody Award-winning Half of Us and an Emmy Award-winning Sudan campaign to increase awareness of the genocide in Darfur.
