Polaroid Project about seeking comfort.

Usually I asked the participates two questions
"Choose a location that makes you feel comfortable and safe."
"If you have to choose a material to cover your body, what is it?"
Then according to their answers I will imagine a scene that related to the comfort that they described, discuss the props and costumes with them. I guess this is a project not only seeking my own comfort, but also theirs.
There's a mirror prop included in every shoot, because it's a symbol that you connect with your inner self and outside world.

"I will choose sofa or bedroom if I have to describe a place that makes me feel safe. And the material I will say silky fabrics or... something like curtain?"
"Home. I like to stay at home, and it is the vibe I like. There are various dim lamps, white walls, small ornaments illuminated by the light of candles, my favorite books are piled up from the floor against the wall, the projector plays my favorite movies, and I lie on the carpet and drink, then get a bit tipsy. It would feel safer if it was still raining outside.
In fact, I also feel very safe in a bar on winter nights. I listen to jazz music with my lover and friends, chat casually, listen to the conversations of strangers around me, observe every guest passing by, and imagine the stories that happens to them. Then forget about time and pressure, there is only warmth, drunkenness and love at that moment."
"Feathers, gauze, cashmere and lovers’ bodies.
The touch of feathers falling lightly on the skin is wonderful. When surrounded by many feathers, it feels more like falling into a white heaven.
The gauze is thin but hazy. The blur and ambiguity of seeing the world through the gauze will make people feel that the world is more like a fairy tale and less sharp.
Cashmere is soft and warm when it touches the skin, and it is a more straightforward safety.
The lover's body is the most profound warmth and security at a certain moment, and you can forget everything and fall asleep with peace of mind. It's like being able to curl up and escape into a small space where there is only emotional connection."

A sunny afternoon.
"I love being surrounded by little stands and looking for gems for hours, also vintage shops and trying on puffy dresses of so! besides that I would say the cinema as I love going to movies and I do find cinema seats veeery comfortable:-)"
"I like leather a lot, also velvet."
"The train. Any train, looking out the window passing houses and countrysides.
Material that is comforting: old cotton shirts that have been worn for years. They've been washed so many times it becomes loose and soft, incredibly soft as it soaks up the smell of the person who wears it. That reminds me of my mom."
