Naked Vanity

A photoshoot done as part of my University’s magazine project: The concept was to show that women are beautiful even without wearing face makeup, hence no airbrushing or foundation, just soft touches of blush, mascara and natural eyeshadow to bring out features, not hide them. By subverting typical magazine standards of beauty and flawless/airbrushed skin, I wanted to exude inner confidence, acceptance and the natural beauty of women through the subtle ‘barely there’ makeup look.
