Národní Galerie v Praze / National Gallery in Prague

  • Kateryna Zabusova
The aim of the National Gallery in Prague is to make art accessible to the general public. It is not only a space for art, but the space for a dialog, conversation and most importantly, education. The core concept behind the National Gallery identity design is to make space an important element of its visual language. The logotype was created so that it had white space within itself. It is a simple typographic logotype that consists of the letters N and G. The white space in it serves as a frame for works of art. In this way, the logotype not only represents the space for art and visitors, but also symbolizes an open window on the Gallery's collection of painting, sculpture and graphic art. The various application examples demonstrate its strong concept and versatility.
