Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are one of the many ways Discovery provides valuable connections and networking opportunities between our employees. Not only are ERGs a way to get to know your colleagues, but evidence shows that connecting team members from various parts of our business has a positive impact on important areas ranging from consumer marketing to retention to collaboration skills and, of course, innovation.
Discovery Family Forum Discovery Family Forum aims to create an inclusive network promoting support and understanding to enhance the lives of Discovery's working parents and caregivers by:
  • Exchanging ideas, resources and experiences
  • Empowering each other
  • Encouraging recognition (internal & external)
The DFF has active groups in both the UK and US offices.
Discovery Women's Network The DWN aims to provide a network for all Discovery employees that focuses on the unique needs of professional women with the goal of delivering programs and events that support, coach, and empower women to discover and leverage their full potential to be the best leaders they can be in both work and life.
Generation Discovery (genD) Generation Discovery serves as an employee resource group for early careerists at Discovery, encouraging members from around the globe to develop professionally through leadership skills, industry analysis and knowledge, and cross-divisional relationships. genD aims to help our members develop and reach their professional goals by providing initiatives and projects that allow them to gain exposure and credentials. priDe Discovery's priDe employee resource group is for LGBT staff and their allies working to support inclusion, recruitment, retention, development and advancement by:
  • Increasing the visibility of DCI's LGBT employees,
  • Representing LGBT employee interests with HR and senior management,
  • Providing a forum for networking and mentorship at Discovery. priDe serves as a resource to the company for internal, external, on-air and off-air matters related to LGBT issues in both the media industry and general corporate environment. priDe operates across Discovery's global offices and is a liaison with other LGBT groups in the business community. priDe has local networks within New York and London.
