Natural Form: protective Shell -The De-escalation Jacket

The De-escalation Jacket was inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's SS2020 and Gucci's SS2020 collection 'mental health is not fashion'. I was inspired to create this jacket taken from my personal experience. I created the print design form broken shells imagery and constructed this jacket from start to finish. I really enjoyed trying out the Japanese style 'The Drop Hole Technique', The De-escalation jacket features two holes and a buckle and strap which represents being restrained in a mental health situation.
