Silentnight: Sleep Design Award 
Design a new concept for the traditional divan bed & headboard that can revitalise the product, incorporating texture, colour and possibly pattern.

PRIZE: £1000 prize to support the development of your design career.
Collaboration opportunity for the winning designer to work with the Silentnight development team to produce the selected design and retail through Silentnight’s website & Manchester ‘Sleep Hub’ Showroom.

Design a new FMCG product/packaging system to help shift consumer behaviours to a more sustainable future.

PRIZE: The prize comprises of £1000 and the opportunity for a 6-week paid internship at DCA’s headquarters in Warwick, where you could get the unique opportunity to learn from a highly experienced design team who have been leading the industry for 60 years.

PRIZE: The finalist will receive a 2-week Virtual placement, working on Kin live briefs. The product you have designed may be launched in the market. The winning design that the team feel are most relevant to the brief will receive an award of £1000. This sum is for the transferal of the IP of the project and product design to Kin Brands Limited.

The Habitat Future Design Award: Furniture, Product, Industrial and Spatial Design Award Brief 
How can you make your home a happy Habitat? Pitch your design or idea that would fit perfectly alongside Habitat’s collection.

PRIZE:
  • Mentoring from our Senior Designers to gain invaluable industry experience
  • Your design idea purchased for £500 plus support to get the product manufactured where possible to launch with Habitat
  • The prize winner will be asked to provide exclusivity to Habitat if it decides to consider commercial development and production
  • The panel will clarify terms and conditions of mentorship with the individual upon completion of the competition

An open call to all Product, Industrial & Spatial Design students.

PRIZE: An invitation for the winner and shortlisted designers to visit Cambridge Consultants (in Cambridge) and spend a day with our design teams in both the Medical Technology division and the Industrial, Consumer and Energy (ICE) division. This will be depending on COVID rules.

PRIZE: Mentorship and product development investment worth up to £40,000. This comprises:
  • A cash prize of £3000 to support the development of the winner’s design career.
  • An exceptional opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience with a work placement/internship of between 3-6 months at The Conran Shop headquarters in London

The prize winner will be asked to provide exclusivity to The Conran Shop if it decides to consider commercial development and production. The panel will clarify terms and conditions of mentorship and product development opportunity with the individual upon completion of the competition.
