The Habitat Future Design Award: Textiles and Surface Pattern Design Award Brief
How can you make your home a happy Habitat? Pitch your design or idea that would fit perfectly alongside Habitat’s collection.
PRIZE:
Mentoring from our Senior Designers to gain invaluable industry experience
Your design idea purchased for £500 plus support to get the product manufactured where possible to launch with Habitat
The prize winner will be asked to provide exclusivity to Habitat if it decides to consider commercial development and production
The panel will clarify terms and conditions of mentorship with the individual upon completion of the competition
The Clothworkers’ Company: Printed Textile Design Award
For the brave, trend setting, innovative designer with a good eye for colour, but prepared to ‘cross over’ into other merchandise arenas.

PRIZE: £1,000 (to be presented to the successful designer at our Alumni Dinner on Monday, 27th September 2021).
The Liberty Fabrics Studio Award
Present an interesting story through your work with the designs aim to surprise, charm and challenge.

PRIZE:
A visit to the London Fabrics design studio to meet the designers, discover the famous archive and gain understanding of the design process
Mentorship scheme for six months

The Romo Award for Innovation in Design and Colour
Create an exciting and innovative series of textile, wallcovering or surface pattern designs based around the theme ‘Reflection’.

PRIZE: £500 cash and a paid internship for up to 6 months in the Romo, Villa Nova or Black Edition design studios, giving first hand, practical experience of working in the creative hub of a leading textile design house.
Wilko Retail Design Award: Surface Pattern and Textiles
Design a collection of textiles, surface patterns for products or prints that capture a current trend and present universal appeal.

PRIZE:
Potential purchase of design for £600
A two-week virtual placement
Sanderson Design Group Award
Push yourself to try new mediums or techniques to create an explorative artwork which can be built into a surface pattern design for interiors.

PRIZE: The two winners of this award will receive a 12 month paid internship which will be based in either one of the 7 design studios.
