Nymph Dresses is a women’s clothing brand with custom hand-made drawings. We create patterns based on our exclusive designs and transfer them to fabric using an ancient batik technique and special paints.
We stretching the fabric in between of special frames, which make it more convenient to apply paints
When designs of illustration are ready, we create pattern templates based on our sketches. They have to be transferred to a cloth using special pencils.
There are several types of batik: hot, cold one and a free painting technique. In hot batik we use wax  to prevent paints from penetrating the cloth. With cold batik we use glue resist to prevent paints from spreading around the contour in an unfavorable way. In a free painting technique we use hair dryer to quickly dry paint and not to let it spread.
After the pattern was transferred to the fabric, a paint should be secured by a hot iron to prevent it washing out. When using hot batik a fabric should be covered with a wax throughout. This will prevent any fat stain to appear on the item. Later all the wax should be removed using the same hot iron and hot water.
When all painting works are over, the items end up in the hands of tailors and embroidery artists. The later ones create beautiful embroidered designs, while former ones cut the fabric and tailor items
