NEW DESIGNERS 2020 - EDINBURGH COLLEGE OF ART: BA (Hons) Textiles & MFA Textiles

Colour, texture, pattern, form… Textiles at Edinburgh College of Art continues to challenge what defines textiles as a discipline. With vast swathes of materials utilised in a variety of contexts and placed in different spaces, textiles has its place in garments, interiors, architecture, products, science and health & wellbeing. Textiles at ECA sees our graduates leave with a keen eye on sustainability, longevity and innovation, where they are driving the design outcomes and material propositions informed by our rapidly changing and demanding world. Our 2020 graduates are exhibiting not only a wealth of design ideas and propositions, but built from strength in observation, drawing, research, design exploration and market understanding they have inspiring outcomes that demonstrate personal and unique ideas of what textiles are and can be for the future.
