New Masters was an art exhibition which combined exhibition-making with an open-studio event. The exhibition encouraged the participating artists to work within the space throughout the duration of the show. This formed an enriching talking point for artists to further engage the public in their work and their processes. SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING I led my own social media and marketing campaign where I focussed on sharing the behind-the-scenes in the lead-up to the exhibition. This also included promoting each of the artists and our previous interactions and collaborations. COMMUNITY New Masters naturally became a welcoming hub for conversations, meetings, and collaborations. Having the opportunity for New Masters embodied the spirit of artist-led spaces and helped me to enable the artists to exhibit large-scale, with enough extra space to continue making work. STORIES I used photography as a form of story-telling. I exhibited photographs from my past projects which each artist had been involved in to show the origins of our relationships. Each day of the exhibition I also added to a display of black and white images and a collection of polaroid photographs which illustrated the quick progression of time from the opening day to the last day. Featured Artists: Emily Cannell, Lindsay Elise Jolly, Nhung Ha, Roanna Seekings, Kate Walker and Harvey Wyatt, with Steve Appleton and Sophie Banks
