Nidra Vision Series

An ongoing series inspired by visions experienced whilst practicing Yoga Nidra. The (often, not always) imperceptible energies that manifest throughout existence are the true subject of the image, however they remain unseen. They are hinted at through McDonough’s choice to print the still images on a responsive and fluid medium. As viewers approach the pieces, their movement through space creates tiny vibrations in the air which in turn create delicate ripples through the artwork. McDonough hopes that the viewer feels a sense of peace and immersion into a sacred, mysterious space when their physical presence comes into contact with these images. McDonough would like to thank all of the spiritual teachers that have helped shape her awareness and sadhana, and all of the teachers that have come before who have shared their wisdom in the art of living, to make all learning possible.
