Nomadic Coffee Ceremony

  • Filippa Wollbeck

This is a stackable product that brings a daily indoor ritual outdoors. A heat-insulated portable coffee pot with add-on cups with a lid, transforming the cup into a container and the lid into a coaster. Nowadays, you often lose the sensory experience and the importance of appreciating food and time. This product represents an attempt to slow down the pace and stay in the moment by challenging the take-away and the travel mug in a broader sustainability perspective. The result is a product that enhances your sensory consumption where the ritual of pouring, seeing, smelling and drinking from the cup elevates one’s experience. It includes multiple units that can be added as needed and slot together. The main material used in this product is a biodegradable composite material made from egg and nut shells only. No toxic chemicals are used. This material produces surfaces with a look and feel similar to marble, natural stone or ceramic although much lighter. The result is an organic and appealing aesthetic since each part is slightly unique. The design language is minimal but still personal and friendly.  Featured in: Supersalone 2021 London Design Festival 2021 Sixtysix Magazine, 7th edition, Chicago Galaxus, Germany All days for future, Germany, launch 2022 Pantone Book launch 2022 Eco Gether
