Camden Alive is a programme of arts and cultural events that celebrates the people of Camden. Sharing our diverse heritage through creativity, the programme captures the sights, sounds and spirit of the borough and what it means to live and work in Camden. During 2019 and early 2020, Camden Alive brought people, artists and cultural organisations together to share experiences, connect and make. Residents of ten social housing neighbourhoods, members of six community groups, artists and culture professionals across Camden worked together to develop ideas and new art. These artworks, contrasting in nature, show us a new view of this unique borough - one of its people. Through music, dance, fashion, design, performance and visual art the stories of our neighbourhoods were revealed and the creativity, diversity and togetherness of Camden were celebrated through this special showcase at The British Museum Featuring performances from: The Place, Beats & Elements, Boss B, Brownsilla, Awate, Scottee and Friends and more.
