Nouvelle Vie Hotel
Brand Identity and visual design for Nouvelle Vie Hotel, a boutique hotel in the heart of Montmartre Paris. Student project.
Montmartre, Paris, is famed for its history of artists setting up shop there and its historic upheavals. According to Wikipedia, "In 1790, Montmartre was located just outside the limits of Paris. That year, under the revolutionary government of the National Constituent Assembly, it became the commune of Montmartre, with its town hall located on place du Tertre, site of the former abbey."
Montmartre village is filled with staircases, always going somewhere. I wonder what people think about when they think about Paris, or any city. Possibility.
I wanted to capture that sensation of mysterious possibility, perhaps of surrealism. And in doing so, this feeling of open expansive possibility, could give way to joy.
