I was a member of the degree show committee, coordinating and curating the NTU Fine Art Auction 2017. The auction is a great opportunity to raise money for the degree show and we wanted to carry on the tradition, making this a lively social event for the students, staff and general public.
I took on a lead role with fellow student Hannah Parikh to organize the event, sorting the promotion, submissions, curation and other tasks like installing the work and setting up for the evening. We all worked well as a team on the evening to run the bar, bidding and wrapping artworks. We managed to raise £2330 to fund the degree show and future Fine Art events, giving £350 to the local charity Spiral.
