While researching environmental typography, I became increasingly interested in ‘tagging’ - a graffiti writer’s personalised signature. In the city we are constantly surrounded by examples of tagging, but with no real knowledge of who is responsible. This creates an ‘invisible network of people’ and a sense of mystery, which I used as a starting point to design promotional material for an imaginary street-wear brand. Working to a tight deadline, I created a custom typeface, a fresh logo, screen-printed t-shirts, posters, swing tags and a website mock-up.
