OFFSET returns to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this year with a stellar line up and will host a weekend packed with presentations, interview panel discussions and debates live on stage
running from Friday the 8th to Sunday the 10th of April, 2016.

With over 2,500 attendees to its Dublin event each year, OFFSET has fast become one of the worlds most inspirational, educational and vocational conferences for the design and creative industries..

Representing industry at all levels, our speakers are key disruptors and influencers in their fields, driving everything from huge global campaigns to awe inspiring personal projects and will speak about their work, ideas and inspirations, giving audiences an insight into their practices and personal perspectives on their careers over the course of the three-day event.

Artist and calligrapher Seb Lester, who has developed typefaces for some of the world’s biggest companies, publications and events, including NASA. His recent filmed exercises have garnered millions of views and fans online – he is the king of typographic social media!

McBess is one of the most interesting illustrators and animators working today. His work has recently graced the walls of the London Underground for TFL’s “Travel Better” campaign. Representing Pentagram London is graphic designer Angus Hyland, who has received over one hundred creative awards.

Representing the UK are artists Mike and Katie of the Sheffield based pint-sized creative powerhouse TADO, along with the East London based collective Assemble, who grabbed everyone’s attention with their recent 2015 Turner Prize nomination and subsequent win as the first ever collective, first architecture practice and the youngest ever winners of the prestigious prize.

Bradley G Munkowitz, better known as GMUNK, one of the top visual and design directors in the world who has designed UI and holographic sequences for the feature films Tron: Legacy and Oblivion and has collaborated with top brands such as Adidas, Adobe and Sony.

Multimedia Artist Russell Mills, designer of award-winning album covers for the likes of Brian Eno, Nine Inch Nails and Peter Gabriel. Andy Ristaino, graphic novel illustrator, storyboard artist and former lead designer for Pendleton Ward’s hit show Adventure Time.

Multi-award winning Irish fashion designer and leather worker, Úna Burke, whose designs have been worn by Lady GaGa and were featured in Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video as well as in Hunger Games amongst others.

From Brooklyn, the digital art pioneering duo, Pamela and Matthew of Reed & Rader. Also based in Brooklyn is Irish-born designer, illustrator and art-director Stephen Kelleher who has been ‘bullying shapes and colours’ for the past decade. Creator of record-breaking kickstarter book project Hate Mail: The Definitive Collection the rapping illustrator, Mr. Bingo.

The latest additions to our line up include the designer and artist extraordinaire Morag Myerscough. Her talk in London blew us away and we can’t wait to see what she’s been up to since. Chris Bovill and John Allison, the joint heads of Channel 4’s in-house team, 4Creative, will be discussing their impressive careers so far including last year’s Channel 4 re-brand.

Also, joining us will be the internationally renowned fashion photographer, Niall McInerney who wowed the fashion world with his captivating behind the scenes shots of the stars of the catwalk and the Irish graphic team Stephen Averill & Shaughn McGrath who are Ireland’s most garlanded pop-culture designers, and have overseen every U2 album cover from the early days of the photocopied gig posters to working with photographer Anton Corbijn and beyond.

Gavin Kelly, Creative Director at the award winning production studio, Piranha Bar. With over a decade of experience creating captivating characters and entire worlds, he’s not to be missed.

Acclaimed Irish artist Robert Ballagh. As one of Ireland’s most distinguished artists there is no end to his volume of work, besides painting, he has also produced book covers, posters, limited editions, over 70 stamps for the Irish postal service and the last Irish bank notes produced by the Central Bank of Ireland. He has also designed many successful theatrical shows, including the imagery and set design for the dance phenomenon Riverdance. We are very honoured to have Mr. Ballagh grace the OFFSET stage.

Rothco is a multi-awarding independent creative agency that has been getting its hands dirty in the advertising industry here in Dublin for the last twenty years. With some impressive clients under their belt, Heineken, Unilever and AIB to name a few, we have three of their hard-hitting team gracing our main stage this year with producer Jessica Derby and copywriters Shane O’Brien and John McMahon.

Our final speaker on the 2016 OFFSET main stage is designer Jonathan Barnbrook. Jonathan is one of the UK’s most active graphic designers. Pioneering the notion of graphic design with a social conscience, Barnbrook makes strong statements about corporate culture, consumerism, war and international politics. He combines originality, wit, political savvy and bitter irony in equal measures working with BBC, Damien Hirst, Thames & Hudson and of course David Bowie.
