The idea of OMG SHE’S BALD was birthed in the summer of 2015, solely to tell the world "yes I shaved my head and do you know what, IT’S OKAY". Since Char shaved her head, so many girls have praised her for her bravery, or confided in her that they’ve wanted to cut their hair short or buzz it off too, but just don’t have the confidence or strength against societies stereotypes. This project is to share the stories of women of different cultures who don’t feel obliged to have long hair to be considered feminine, desirable or even to avoid being questioned on their sexuality. And ultimately, to share the message that ladies, you can do absolutely anything you want without hesitation, guilt or explanation.
