One of 82% - An Audio Documentary

  • Ryan Nolan

I was tasked with creating a piece of media for the launch of the paid membership section of Dyspraxia Ireland's website. This gave me a 3 month timeline to decide on a project, plan, and execute it. I decided to do an audio documentary about my personal struggles with Dyspraxia. I took on every role myself for this project which included audio production, audio editing, lead narration and music composition. I mapped out a timeline of events and established points of contact through my network of fellow Dyspraxics. I wanted to make this project as diverse as possible in a half an hour timeframe. I chose the perspectives of a Dyspraxic mother with a Dyspraxic child of her own, a parent of a Dyspraxic child and a musician with Dyspraxia. 3 years after the completion of this project, my audio documentary is still used as a key tool in creating Dyspraxia Awareness by Dyspraxia Ireland.
