One Year Life Strata is a digital media project that emerged from an experiment María Molina started on 1 January 2015. After impulsively recollecting her daily life during one year with a wearable camera, the experiment became an exploration of Digital Forgetting and data visualization.
The enormous collection of photos collected by the camera are shown in an online archive that instead of “remembering” proposes a creative forgetting of her year's digital archive. The images are used as data that can be investigated, edited and transformed into a 3d printed Time Capsule.
The project is displayed in an interactive installation composed of a three-channel video and 3d printed sculpture.
One Year Life Strata is part of “The Vertical Horizon” a series of work about the fear of forgetting in the Digital Age.
