Origins - Life is Built on Words

  • Usua Perez Echegoyen
We are unable to establish the origin of words. They arise from the need to communicate with each other. First the image appears as a form of communication and then words follow. The Bible says that first was the verb, the word was the beginning of everything.

The rolls of twisted words, which would fill an entire wall in this work, represent the Akashic records, the infinite file of everything from the beginning of time, the universal library and intangible memory of man.

Words’ filling a wall reminds us of the wall of Jerusalem, as if it were the written wall of lamentations. We also remember the walls covered with hieroglyphics found in the pyramids of Egypt or the Roman friezes.
