Orlaya Magazine - Issue 1

  • Isobel Gill

My latest big project was Orlaya Magazine, which strives to listen to its audience’s minds, bodies, souls, and emotions to provide a supportive community for women to feel peace. With content that explores connections to the ocean, Greek goddesses, and organic products, this publication challenges the fashion industry by always having its consumer in mind. Upon producing this magazine, each iteration acted as a personal healing experience. I was able to translate my emotions, experiences and frustrations as a young female into the work with a personal approach to each story and subject matter. The nature and purpose of the project provided me with confidence about my place within the industry and how I can positively aid my audience and myself.
