Ornamenta, Vintage Pastel
Winter baubles, holly and golden braids create a festive pattern with a vintage twist in pastel shades. Inspired by the fragile ornaments that are carefully packed away each year, the scent of Christmas pine and candles, dark evenings and warm cosiness - familiar, nostalgic and festive.
Some festive fun! For this design I transformed my sketches into vector drawing to use as a painting template for the motifs which were all painted by hand using gouache. The motifs were then scanned, retouched and the pattern assembled in Photoshop.
