Our Growing Silence is a zero-budget documentary presented by celebrity actor Art Malik, and directed and produced by Billy Abbott. It addresses the decline of grassroots music venues, focusing on the shutdown of the Random Arms and Energy Rooms due to property development in 2018. This documentary was picked up by the Music Venue Trust and toured nationally in order to promote their Pipeline Investment Fund campaign. As a result of the increased focus on the local music scene, Plymouth City Council commissioned an audit of the grassroots music sector, conducted by MVT alongside a 'Fightback' festival in 2019.
